Art Windsor-Essex offers in-person and virtual field trips.

In-Person Field Trips

Our dynamic, diverse, and knowledgeable group of AWE educators are experienced and committed to engaging learners of all ages. This unforgettable journey through the Gallery is combined with hands-on studio activities that help students to develop visual arts skills, nurture creativity, and apply discussion topics to their own artworks. In-person tours are offered Tuesday-Friday between 10am – 4pm. Book your visit by filling out the form below at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred dates and times. AWE will confirm your visit by email.

Virtual Field Trips

An in-depth look at artworks in our programs will engage and inspire your students, and curriculum-based exploration will provide fascinating new points of view on the works of art on exhibit at AWE. Our Virtual Field Trips encourage students and teachers to explore our collection from the comfort of their classroom! Discover new perspectives and participate in wellness exercises and art-making activities.

  • A good Internet connection
  • A microphone and camera-enabled computer.
  • The virtual field trip will be delivered via the video conferencing app Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. Please download prior to the tour.
  • A drawing tool (pencil, pen, marker, or crayons) and a sheet of blank paper

Tour Scheduling

In-person and virtual tours are available for booking Monday through Thursday between 9:30am-3:00 pm. It is recommended that bookings be scheduled at least one month ahead of your date of arrival to ensure your tour is confirmed. In the event that we are not able to accommodate your first choice we request that you provide an alternate date and time.
